Biography of Bishop Willie J. Moore, Ph.D., D.D.

Born in the small, historic town of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Willie Moore finished high school and subsequently joined the United States Marine Corps in 1973. Starting at the rank of Private, he enjoyed a long and colorful career while serving in various military occupational specialties and overseas commands.

Major Willie Moore served 27 years of faithful service in the United States Marine Corps. Having earned promotions in the senior enlisted and officer ranks, he retired with honors on June 30, 2000.

In 1974, Willie Moore gave his life to the Lord while attending a Spirit-filled service at the Wayside Church of Deliverance in Clinton, Mississippi. From that moment on, his life changed completely.

In 1976, the Lord called him into the ministry. And in July of 1978, on the island of Okinawa, Japan, he was ordained a minister. Since that time Minister Moore has served in virtually every capacity of church ministry, including 16 years as an assistant pastor. His devotion to God and to the Church has prepared him to accept and shepherd the flock of God. In January 2000 he founded and established the Voices of Victory Christian Ministry.

Bishop Moore completed his bachelor’s degree in business administration and his master’s degree in business management. Both degrees were completed with honors and, subsequently, he was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society in Business, Administration and Management.

Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Moore has founded and presides over the Voices of Victory National Fellowship while continuing to lead a 3rd Sunday Coalition of Fellowship Churches, many of which are part of the National Fellowship. Moreover, Bishop Moore founded and chairs the Men Helping Men Fellowship. This fellowship comprises men from various denominations and walks of life, all coming together to share their experiences – spiritually and professionally – and to promote righteousness and the best interest of the public.

Dr. Willie Moore received his Doctorate of Philosophy in Theology and was consecrated to the office of Bishop at Grace Theological Seminary in Lubbock, Texas. He also was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity.

Under the guidance and leadership of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Willie and First Lady Joyce Moore love, teach and lead God's people in a victorious way, always putting God first in all that they do.

They are the proud parents of two children: a son, Willie Jr., and a daughter, Kimberly. They are blessed with three wonderful grandchildren: Tiani, Isaiah, and Willie Moore III.
